This was our day to explore Connecticut. We drove out to Weir Farm National Historic
Site. This was a beautiful park, which
was the former residence of Julian Alden Weir, an American Impressionist
painter. He turned his farm into an
artist colony and examples of art works created there were on display. We took the house tour and then walked down
to Weir Pond.
